Company Overview
Samuel Land Company was founded in 1951 by Samuel McKinney. The company was originally involved in the development of single family homes and various apartment communities throughout greater Pittsburgh. SLC Realty, Inc. was founded in 1996 to lease and manage both Samuel Land Company’s assets, and those of others on a third party basis.
In November of 2009, the companies were purchased by Damian Zamias, the current President and CEO. The company continues to maintain a strong portfolio of student housing and retail properties located throughout the Eastern US, and centered in Western Pennsylvania. Future growth will be derived through prudent and measured acquisitions, and developments, preferably within a 300 mile radius of Pittsburgh.
Samuel Land Company has a long history of providing superior customer service, and that tradition remains the primary focus of our company today. We are dedicated to the well-being of our student housing residents, and to continually improving the condition of our properties. We constantly strive to outperform the expectations of our residents and retail tenants.
